Wedding Wishes

Hi All,

This weekend we are busy having a crafting weekend...we started last night and are going into Sunday evening.  So very much fun!!!  My living room has been transformed into "Craft Central"!

I don't often get time to craft these days but love it so much more when it's with great friends!!

I'd like to take a minute to thank the gals over at Create with Connie and Mary for choosing my Father's Day card as one of their top 3!  Thank you!!  You can check out that card here.

Today I decided to play along with a couple of challenges:

This week the color theme is Real Red and a neutral.  I decided to switch it up a bit and went with Cherry Cobbler as I really wanted to use the Cherry Cobbler embossing powder.  I'm sure the ladies won't mind...

Sending Wishes Your Way...

Hi Everyone!

It's time for another lovely sketch over at Atiantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I'm not sure about the rest of the Design Team, but this sketch really pushed me outside my comfort zone but I love the result!  Make sure you swing by the challenge blog on a Wednesday to check out the rest of the creations by the amazing Design Team,  while you are there, why don't you play along with us??

My card this week was made especially for my 80-something year old neighbour who fell last week and broke her hip.  So very sad.  But she is one feisty lady and I hope this little card helped to brighten her day just a little.

I decided that I would also play along in this week's colour challenge over at Colour Me...!  Such a gorgeous combination - Elegant Eggplabt, Old Olive and Coastal Cabana.  I, unfortunately, had to do some swaps so the colour combination that I actually used was Perfect Plum, Mossy Meadow and Lost Lagoon.  I know the girls won't mind...

Here is my creation:

Card Recipe (all products used are Stampin' Up! Products unless otherwise indicated):

Card Stock: Perfect Plum, Whisper White, Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP
Stamp Sets: Perfect Pennants
Inks: Mossy Meadow

More Butterflies!

Hi all!

Happy Saturday to you - hope you are enjoying this gorgeous weekend.

So this week there seemed to be a theme resonating throughout the challenge world - if it wasn't.Father's Day then it was butterflies.  So, I decided to combine a few challenges and make use of that butterfly theme.

1) Fusion

Fusion Challenge had a fantastic inspiration photo and sketch this week - I decided to combine both!

2) The Card Concept

Another butterfly theme and I chose to incorporate the Classy and Elegant approach.

3) Seize the Birthday

I was really inspired by my friend, Brenda's (www.ottawamom.com) card from the Design Team at STB.  So much so that I decided to incorporate many of the elements she used in her card.  Thanks for the inspiration Brenda!

This week's twist over at STB was "nothing but neutrals" - love it!

Here is my creation:

Happy Father's Day Dad!

Hi Everyone!

Tonight I am going out on a limb and hoping that my Dad doesn't look at this blog before Father's Day as tonight I am showcasing his card. :)

As always, I used a few challenges to gain inspiration:

1) Create with Connie and Mary

I really thought this week's sketch was really fun.  I wanted to bring a little something different to the sketch so I decided to use the "happy" as one of the layers.  I'm pretty sure the ladies won't mind.

2) The Friday Mashup

This week I chose to mash it up!

This week's Mashup Challenge is:
  • Create a project with the colors "Cajun Craze, Island Indigo and Garden Green"
  • Create a project with a "Father's Day Theme"
  • or Mash it Up! and Create a project with "The challenge colors and a Father's Day theme".

This a new challenge for me and this week's theme is Father's Day.

I love the look of the stacked "happy"

And here is my creation:
